YMCA North Bay is hosting an exciting Olympic Winter Games Themed March Break Camp for kids ages 5–12. Children will participate in exciting indoor and outdoor Olympic themed activities such as arts and crafts, sports, skating, outdoor games and recreational swimming.

First Tapping - Matthews Maple Syrup
The “First Tapping Ceremony” for the Powassan Maple Syrup Festival will be held on Saturday, March 10th, beginning at 1 pm at Matthews Maple Syrup, 239 Ski Hill Road, Powassan.
The Powassan Boy Scouts will be selling hot dogs, sausages on a bun and beverages. And, as is the tradition at Matthews, we will be offering taffy on ice, and weather permitting, there will be horse drawn sleigh or wagon rides in the sugar bush. These activities will also be offered daily during the week of March break, as Matthews officially opens for the season. Come out and enjoy some maple treats.

Free Youth Centre
Free for youth aged 10 - 18 who are interested in field sports, health & wellness, outdoor skills, field-trips and arts. Program runs until June. 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Please note that this is a drop in/drop out program for youth 10-18 and therefore we endorse the responsibility of the youth to arrange with parents/guardians their best route to and from Caldwell-Ellam Community Centre.
