Maple season is just around the corner! Use this as an opportunity to visit farms with your kids and learn about one of the most traditional Canadian treats – maple syrup!

Spring Indoor Yard And Craft Sale
The Emsdale - Scotia and Area Women’s Institute will be holding its annual Spring Indoor Yard and Craft Sale.

Pancake Breakfast at Powassan United Church
Powassan United Church is hosting Pancake Breakfasts from 9 am to noon on April 7. Adults $10, Elementary Children $5, Preschoolers are free. Menu includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, maple syrup, juice and coffee.

Sweet Ontario Maple Weekend
Visit Long's Maple Syrup; we will have tours of our maple operation (11am, 1pm and 3pm); taffy on the snow for kids; the option of learning how to tap a tree; and maple cookie decorating for kids. This is all completely free! Our fully stocked maple store is worth hitting on your way out. Visit mapleweekend.ca for information on all the sugarbushes open for tours in the Nipissing Area.

Annual Maple Weekend
April 7 and 8, 2018 is Maple Weekend in Ontario! 10am to 4 pm both days. Tour one or several maple sugarbushes in your area. Learn how the 1st crop of the year is made. Free Youth Centre
Free for youth aged 10 - 18 who are interested in field sports, health & wellness, outdoor skills, field-trips and arts. Program runs until June. 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Please note that this is a drop in/drop out program for youth 10-18 and therefore we endorse the responsibility of the youth to arrange with parents/guardians their best route to and from Caldwell-Ellam Community Centre.
