Earth Day is this Sunday! Teach your little ones to cherish and care for our planet by doing something outdoors with them. Here is the list of local events to give you more inspiration for this weekend’s adventures:

Lumberjack Pancake Breakfast at the South River-Machar Arena
The South River/Machar Agricultural Society is holding their Annual Lumberjack Breakfast on Saturday April 21, from 8am to 11am at the South River/Machar Community Centre. 
Come for a hearty breakfast with beans, eggs, pancakes, and maple syrup. Adults $9, kids $5.

First Annual Great Northern Antiques to Oddities Show
The First Annual “Great Northern Antiques to Oddities Show” brought to you by The Queen Majesty, is scheduled to be held on April 21 and 22, 2018 at the beautiful Grande Event Center in the heart of downtown North Bay Ontario. 31 vendor booths featuring everything from antiques to oddities. $5.00 at the door.

Learn To Juggle with Stephen Lee
Want to master the art of juggling? Come out to our Learn to Juggle workshop with Stephen Lee at the North Bay Public Library and start by learning the basic 3-ball cascade, reverse cascade, two in one hand, with scarves. You can then move on to juggling with balls, clubs or rings. Cost $10.00 includes materials provided to learn to juggle. Space is limited – there are only 15 spots available. Registration is required.
For ages 10 and up.

Free Youth Centre
Free for youth aged 10 - 18 who are interested in field sports, health & wellness, outdoor skills, field-trips and arts. Program runs until June. 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Please note that this is a drop in/drop out program for youth 10-18 and therefore we endorse the responsibility of the youth to arrange with parents/guardians their best route to and from Caldwell-Ellam Community Centre. The Recreation Committee is organizing a Clean Up the Township Day for Earth Day. We will meet at the Community Hall at 9:45 a.m. and at one southern location to be announced. Get the kids involved. Let's work together to keep our Township the beauty that it is.
