Spring is here to stay! A great weekend to be with family and have some fun together with these local events:

Powassan Maple Syrup Festival
Free, outdoor, family friendly annual event with something for every member of the family:. Live music on the stage, Lumberjack Show and Amateur Competition, KidZ Zone and Glendale Farms (pony rides, petty zoo), Pancake Breakfasts and Baked Bean Lunch, Over 100 Craft, Food and Maple Vendors on Main Street AND in the Sportsplex, Sheep Shearing and Traditional Maple Syrup making demos, Busing to offsite parking and Matthews Maple Sugar Bush, and much more. Come out of hibernation and join us to celebrate the arrival of Spring and the taste of everything Maple.

38th Annual Smelt Fry hosted by Magnetawan Lions
The Magnetawan Lions is holding their 38th Annual Smelt Fry on Saturday April 28 at the Lions Pavilion. Come to enjoy battered smelts or hot dogs, hamburgers, fries and refreshments from 5pm to 8pm.

Free Youth Centre
Free for youth aged 10 - 18 who are interested in field sports, health & wellness, outdoor skills, field-trips and arts. Program runs until June. 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday. Please note that this is a drop in/drop out program for youth 10-18 and therefore we endorse the responsibility of the youth to arrange with parents/guardians their best route to and from Caldwell-Ellam Community Centre. Healthy Kids Day
On Healthy Kids Day, participating YMCAs open their doors to local families to help them discover how simple and fun healthy living can be with the YMCA as their partner. 
With free access, parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles are encouraged to bring their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews to try their local Y and participate in activities while learning the joys of living a healthy lifestyle, together, as a family. 
The YMCA offers a family-focused community where everyone belongs and where there is a program or activity for every member of the family, regardless of age or ability.
