The start of the school year is often the time of new beginnings! Try something new with your kids this weekend, and who knows – maybe you’ll create a new family tradition:

Nature & You Preschool Open House
Nature & You Preschool is up and running. Our immersive full-day program for children aged 2.5-4 provides a strong focus on outdoor play in a natural setting while providing the flow and comfort of a typical child care program. Our open house on Saturday, September 15 from 9:00am-11:00am will allow visitors to see our outdoor and indoor classroom space, speak with Nature & You staff, learn about our program and our free 2-day trial period, and of course, play outside. Open Streets Parry Sound 2018
Parry Sound will be closing James Street downtown and opening it up to pedestrians. It's a free community event with lots of free activities hosted by various community groups. The OPP Golden Helmet Motorcycle Precision Team Show is at 1:30pm.

Mom to Mom Sale
Clean out your closets, recycle outgrown goods, and make some money at the same time. Please put a $20 deposit on a table in advance (so we know how many are coming) at the municipal office at 250 Clark. Deposit will be returned on day of sale. Clothing, sporting goods - anything goes. Just make sure that everything is in clean and working order. These are private sales, no municipal liability. Come Try Ringette - For Free
Join the West Ferris Ringette Association for an afternoon of fun and friendship on the ice, at the WFRA annual "Come Try Ringette" event. Saturday, September 15th, 1- 3 pm Pete Palangio Arena Skates and helmet are required. STEM Challenge Day
What does it take to be the STEM Champion of the Powassan & District Union Public Library? Well, first you'll need to build an unsinkable boat... then design and create a Space Lander keeping precious cargo safe. Think you can handle that? You'll also have to master the marble run. The winner will receive a custom prize from our 3D printer! Please pre-register, spaces are limited.
