Halloween parties are creeping and crawling into town already! You are not going to miss those, are you? Help your kids enjoy the spooktacular season longer with these local events:

Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser
Laurentian Wesleyan Church is raising funds to make their building accessible to all. Come out for breakfast, make a donation and make a difference.

Halloween Slime Party
Play Halloween games, make slime, make spooky crafts, and have a blast!
Drop in between 12noon and 3 pm to make your own slime. Depending on age and skill level the slime making can take 20-40mins. Crafts include building your own monster. Leave the mess to us, you take home the slime. Your child gets to choose their own colour, maybe even glow in the dark. Mix in googly eyes and plastic spiders to make your SPOOKY SLIME! 
All needed materials for these kid-friendly crafts are supplied. Gallery Fundraiser - help support the gallery while having a party. Buy tickets in advance or drop in.

Makerspace & Lego Club
Makerspace: 12:00 - 1:00, Lego Club: 1:00 - 2:00 Weekly on Saturday. Starting at 12, tinker with some of the newest tech toys, gadgets and games. Then at 1:00, we break out the Lego and you can build the biggest, wildest creation you can think of.

STEAM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Different programs being run every Saturday between 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm. These are drop in programs, no registration required.

Halloween Fun at the Callander Museum
The museum has gotten a little cobweb-y lately... and we seem to have a bat problem that we could use your help with... so come out and get your spook on at the Callander Bay Heritage Museum. On Saturday October 20th between 2:00 and 4:00pm you can:

  • make a mummified lantern
  • create a pumpkin window decoration
  • wander through the museum keeping an eye out for hidden bats and make sure you don't fall off the spider web

Costumes are welcome! Ages 5-12 are recommended. The cost for the event is $4.00 a child. This includes two crafts and general museum admission. Adults accompanying children are free. Crafts are limited to first 24 children in attendance. Email us at to reserve a spot.
