Events for the Whole Family this Weekend

Weather keeps surprising us with a very mild February, and we think that all of us are tired of winter and ecstatic for the spring, outdoor and warm days. Here is a list of community events for the whole family:

Calvin Firefighters Breakfast
Breakfast prepared by the Calvin firefighters. Everyone Welcome $7.00 per person.
Calvin Community Centre
25 February, 8 am – 11 am

Making Birdfeeders
Special activity – making birdfeeders, stay and play all day, zumba and circle & storytime. For kids from birth to 6 years of age.
Early Years Centre
25 February, 9 am – 3 pm, 171 Chippewa Street West, North Bay

Katrine Winter Carnival
Concession stand and parade at 11 a.m. at Day Spring Cottages. Bed races at 1 p.m. Horse-drawn sleigh rides, outdoor games noon to 3 p.m. Bonfire noon to 4 p.m. Live bands on stage noon to 5 p.m. A roast beef dinner at 5 p.m. All ages.
Katrine Community Centre

Public Skating - Humphrey on Saturdays
Public Skating at the Humphrey Arena. Cost is $1.00/skater, kids 4 years and under skate for free. Weekly until Saturday, March 18, 2017 on Saturday. Call for exceptions.

Renee’s Dance Connection Competitive Recital and Food Drive
RDCC Show Recital at Nipissing University Auditorium. All ages, admission is free. Donations will be gratefully accepted for Trinity United Church's Food Bank.

Ski Backwards Day
Ski all the trails in reverse and experience a whole new trail system for all ages.

NBSO: Symphony Storyteller
North Bay Symphony telling the history of most significant symphonic music and how it reflected the social, political, and cultural times. Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms and more are featured alongside celebrated Ontario composer Luc Martin, who will narrate our travels and compose a world premiere piece to celebrate NBSO's 40th Anniversary.
