Our fathers are having their special day this Sunday! We’ve prepared a list of local events to go to with the father of your family to make some special memories.

North East Trillium Horse Show

Knowlton Ridge in Powassan, Ontario is hosting the Hunter/Jumper Competitions June 17th and 18th. Variety of Vendors, great jumpers, Admission is free. Bring the family and come see this event.

2nd Annual Children's Festival

The Capitol Centre's 2nd Annual Children's Festival is an entire weekend of fun for the whole family.

  • June 17 - 8:30 am - 1:00 pm - Family Activity Fair (Reptile Adventure Camp, Magic of Christophe, Blaze the Trick Dog, Bouncy Castle, Music and Art Workshops and more)
  • June 17 - 9:30 am, 12:30 pm, 2:30 pm - La Patin Libre - Outdoor Rollerblading Show (Free Performance)
  • June 17 - 1:30 pm - Cosima Grunsky
  • June 18 - 2:00 pm – Free Movie The Lego Batman Movie

Tickets are $10/day or $15 for a weekend pass.

Armed Forces Day

Saturday, June 17th, there will be full day of activities downtown at the Community Waterfront Park, and Waterfront. The day includes a Children's Festival at the Capitol Centre, Pow Wow in Community Waterfront Park, static displays and a Twilight performance by the Canadian Forces SkyHawks, a CF-18 Demonstration team and the Canadian Forces Snowbirds. 
Country artist Cory Marquardt, local band, Hidden Roots Collective & Juno Award winners Lighthouse will be preforming before and after the demonstrations.

Jocko Point Father's Day Brunch

On Father's Day, June 18 , the Jocko Point Community Centre will host its monthly Brunch from 9 am until noon. Come out and enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet that includes salads, hot breakfast and main dishes, and desserts. Adults: $9. Kids 7 through 12: $3.50.
