Canada is turning 150, celebrations all weekend! Here is the list of local events for families:

North Bay Canada Day Celebration

Visit our waterfront for fireworks, musical performances, kids’ zone and much more.
Events going on during the day:

Classic Car Show 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free screening of Lego Batman at Burk's Falls Towne Theatre 3 p.m. Legion and fairgrounds celebrations starting at 2 p.m. Guided heritage river walks 2 to 4 p.m. Horse-drawn wagon rides 3 to 7 p.m. Free BBQ 5 to 7 p.m. Community street dance, legion parking lot, 6 p.m to 12 a.m. Fireworks at dusk at fairgrounds.

Canada Day Fun - West Ferris Ringette at the NB Waterfront

The WFRA will be part of North Bay's Canada Day Celebrations with a booth and activities in the Kids Zone on Saturday July 1st from 12:00pm to 4:00pm located at the Waterfront left of the Old Chief.  Drop by for a ringette demonstration and try a summer fun version of the fastest game on ice.

Time Capsule Opening Presented by the Callander Bay Heritage Museum & Alex Dufresne Gallery

On July 1st, 1992, Canada's 125th celebration, the community of Callander gathered at the North Himsworth Museum (now the Callander Bay Heritage Museum) to fill a case with objects of their present for people of the future to open. Now, 25 years later, the time has come to cut the lock, open the box and step back to the early 90s.

Jocko Point Brunch

On Sunday, July 2, the Jocko Point Community Centre will host its monthly Brunch from 9 am until noon. Come out and enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet that includes salads, hot breakfast and main dishes, and desserts. Adults: $9. Kids 7 through 12: $3.50.
