Another beautiful weekend is about to start, and shadfly season is almost over! Here is a list of local events for you and your little ones:

Tipi Building Workshop

Have you ever been interested in exploring the construction of a tipi? 
Nomadic Canvas and North Star Acres have partnered to offer an original tipi building event.
In this one-day workshop, you will learn how to build a 22 foot diameter tipi from start to finish. Our day will include choosing, cutting and de-barking the trees, dismantling and reassembling the 22 foot diameter tipi, building the fire inside the tipi. We’ll also be including an introduction to Horse Whispering with the equines from Horse Ability. $85.00
The workshop cost includes refreshments and nutritious snacks; each participant is to bring a lunch.

Splash In The Sound With Sail Parry Sound And Celebrate Canada's 150th

Try keel boat or dinghy sailing (with a certified instructor) stand up boarding or kayaking (offered by White Squall) for free. Bring your PFD and get ready to enjoy a fun-filled day on the Big Sound.

Let's pARTy Callander Celebrates Canada

20 different local and area artists have come together to create pieces that reflect their Canada and what Canada means to them. Mediums include pottery, oil, acrylic and watercolour. Official Opening Reception will be on July 8th from 2-4pm with artists present, light refreshments and cake.

Flying Legends Of Victory Tour Featuring The B-17 "Sentimental Journey"

One of the most iconic bombers of WWII, the B-17G ‘Sentimental Journey’, will be on public exhibition at the North Bay Airport (50 Terminal St., Suite 1) from Monday, July 3, 2017 through Sunday, July 9, 2017. The visiting B-17 'Sentimental Journey' is one of only ten airworthy in the world. The classic warbird was restored to authentic condition by Arizona Commemorative Air Force volunteers as part of its flying museum tour programs. Standard plane tour fees are $10/person and $20/family of four (In Canada, $14 per person/ $28 for a family of four)
