This weekend coming up is filled with art shows and events! Take your little ones out to introduce them to the world of art and possibly discover hidden talents. List of local events:

Nipissing Museum Yard Sale

Nipissing Township Museum accepts donations for the 2017 Yard Sale. Event happens July 14 and 15. If you have items to donate, contact Liz Smith at 705-724-6943.

Colouring Contest And Fire Truck Day At The Powassan Farmers' Market

This week at the Powassan Farmers' Market there will be a fire truck from the Powassan Volunteer Fire Department. The truck will be at the Market from 10 to 11 am. Children can climb inside and a firefighter will be there to answer questions! Also on Saturday will be a colouring contest for kids. Come out and enjoy the local produce, crafts and bakery.

Fiddlers On Restoule Lake 

Fiddlers-on-the-Lake head out on Restoule Lake on donated pontoon boats with singers, guitars, keyboard and lots of fiddlers. Follow along or meet the musicians later at 88 Hawthorne Dr. at 8 p.m. Bring along your own lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the special old-time music. Donations for East Ferris Fiddle Club accepted.

NAISA Sound Art Drop In For Children

Join us this summer from June 29 to September 4 at the NAISA North where children big and small can become sound art performers and active listeners both through learning how to craft and shape a performance and through learning how to better understand our everyday sound environments through listening exercises.
