A sunny summer weekend is ahead of us, and we have a lot of water activities for families going on! Here is a list of local events:

Burk’s Falls Art and Crafts Centre Yard Sale

Don’t forget to stop in at the centre on 118 Ontario St. to see the exciting new products. There are 150 items under $15 to celebrate Canada’s birthday.

Habitat for Humanity Garage Sale

Georgian Bay Craft Fair 

James St will be filled with craft and food vendors, kid's activities, and music. The hand painted paddles and chairs will be on display with the silent auction ending at 3pm.

Mattawa River Canoe Race

Paddle the 13km Family/Junior Race from Samuel de Champlain Provincial Park to Mattawa Island.. Register by Saturday July 29 at 11:45am at Samuel de Champlain Park registration tent.

Sand Lake Regatta

At Dinsmore’s Beach. Bring the family and join the summer fun. Festivities include canoe races, swim races, tug of war, kanooKayack race (cardboard boat race), canoe tug of war, shoe kick competition, 3 leg races, raw egg toss, children’s candy toss and more. Lots of prizes, ribbons and trophies to be won.

Ontario 150 Mckellar Heritage Regatta 

Pancake breakfast, vendors, food booths, buskers, water activities & races (swimming, canoeing, kayaking, subing...) the art of sand castles, land based games for children, displays, demonstrations, historical boat tour, dance 8 pm to 12, and fireworks at dusk . No charge for events. Taking place at the Commjunity Centre, Armstrong Lake, and Minerva Park.

Kid Zone Saturday At The Library

Kid Zone, a free program every Sat. 2-4 pm. Drop in & play Wii, board games, build Lego, read and make fun crafts. Snacks and drinks provided.
