A well-deserved weekend after the first week of school! Here is a list of local events for everybody, let’s have some fun:

Animal Education Event at the Saturday Market

This event is all about animal education both domestic and wild. We will have Laurel from Touch Animal Rehabilitation, a veterinary technician & rehabilitation specialist who can speak to the importance of maintaining your pets’ overall health and mobility. 
In addition to this, we will have local cat and dog rescue specialists. Come see Canadian Dachshund Rescue Ontario, Rat Terrier Rescue Ontario, Gentle Jake's Coonhound Rescue, Pet Save & Wild at Heart wildlife rescue.

OKP-MOOSE 106.3 Beach Volleyball Fundraiser

Join us for the One Kids Place-MOOSE FM 106.3 Beach Volleyball Charity Event. Saturday, Sept 9th at the Canor Courts downtown North Bay. Teams of 4 people, ages 11-16yrs and 17 & over. All enquiries can be sent to events@onekidsplace.ca. $100 in pledges per team registration. the team with the most pledges will win a prize. BBQ, raffle items and lots of fun. All proceeds to benefit the children and families at One Kids Place.

Terry Fox Movie Matinee

The story of Terry Fox's unprecedented cross-Canada marathon on an artificial leg for cancer research that made him a national hero. Starring: Shawn Ashmore, 2005. Fall Hours at the Heritage Railway & Carousel
