The data below outlines the volume of workload within our Child Protection Services. As demonstrated we have seen a decrease in service volume in all areas from 2012 to 2015/16.
No frontline positions have been eliminated as a result of these statistics.
In instances where a position is vacant due to maternity leave, sick leave, leaves of absences, retirement or resignation, vacancy management is utilized as a cost containment strategy. However, vacancy management has only been initiated after thorough workload review and when service loads have permitted.
