Family Activities for November 11, 12

Lest we forget! It’s important to teach our children about the freedom we’ve been given and the sacrifice of our soldiers. A great way to do this is to attend a ceremony.

 

Public Remembrance Day ceremonies:

 

North Bay Remembrance Day Service

The North Bay Canadian Legion will be presenting Remembrance Day Service at Memorial Gardens, 100 Chippewa St W, North Bay.
Doors open at 9:30 am. 
Everyone is to be seated by 10:45 am.
Service begins promptly at 11 am.

 

Callander Legion Remembrance Day Ceremony

The Callander Legion and the Callander Legion Pipes and Drums will proudly celebrate Remembrance Day on Nov. 11, 2017 — this 150th anniversary of Canada, the 100th anniversary of Vimy Ridge, the 70th anniversary of the Callander Legion and the 65th anniversary of the Callander Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
The Callander Remembrance Day service starts at 9:30 a.m. in the main hall of the Legion
At 10:30 a.m., the parade will form up and march to the cenotaph for the official ceremony and laying of the wreaths.

Trout Creek Remembrance Day Service

Remembrance Day Service at the cenotaph in Trout Creek on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m

 

Powassan Remembrance Day Service

2 minutes wave of silence service. Form up at Legion at 10:35 am to march to cenotaph. The service and wrath laying will be at 11:00 am.

South RiverRemembrance Day Service

South River Legion Remembrance Day Service at the cenotaph located at 63 Marie Street at 11:00 a.m.

 

Burk’s Falls Remembrance Day Ceremony

The Remembrance Day Service will be at 10:00 at The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 405, 9 Mary Street in Burk's Falls.
Laying Of The Wreaths to follow a moment of silence in memory of those who served in front of the Post Office at 11:00 am.

 

Carling Remembrance Day Service

November 11th, 2017 10:45 am at the Carling Cemetery #206 Hwy 559. Everyone is Welcome. Light refreshments at the Carling Fire Hall after the service.

Unique Artisans 35th Annual Christmas Craft Show

This family run show has been an annual festive event for 35 years. The North Bay Baytones will be singing Christmas carols and we have over 48 vendors. We also have a local organization HELP that is looking to raise funds for there organization. Admission is $2.00
