EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ANNOUNCEMENT
The Board of Directors of the Children’s Aid Society of the District of Nipissing and Parry Sound is pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Nancy Lafrance Rich as Executive Director.
Ms. Lafrance Rich has served as Interim Executive Director since June 2024, a period marked by significant pressures across all areas of the organization. Increasingly complex placement needs, shifting systemic demands, and sector-wide audits have contributed to one of the most challenging times in the Society’s history. Guiding the organization through this environment has required steady, compassionate, and effective leadership.
Throughout this time, Nancy has demonstrated exceptional commitment to the well-being of children, youth, families, and staff. Her leadership has been grounded in integrity, professionalism, and a deep understanding of child welfare.
Nancy brings decades of experience in child welfare, having worked across a range of frontline and leadership positions. Her deep understanding of the challenges facing the sector, combined with her ability to lead collaboratively and communicate a clear vision, has made her a trusted leader.
Looking ahead, the Board of Directors is confident that Ms. Lafrance Rich will continue to lead the organization with clarity, purpose, and resilience. Her extensive experience and unwavering commitment will be vital as the Society responds to evolving sector demands while continuing to prioritize the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families throughout Nipissing and Parry Sound.
